Ufo Sightings November 2009

Ufo Sightings in November 2009
Florida - 10-25-09 - It had been a rainy day. At 7:30 AM, I took my pups out for a break. In the distance to the west over the Gulf, I could see a black cloud in the shape of a Y on its side.
Under the Y was a small gold orb doing figure eights in and under the cloud. It was a gold-like, yellow color in appearance, I guess due to the sunset. It only lasted maybe 3-5 seconds. Just long enough to catch my eye and not long enough to be sure you were seeing what you thought you were seeing.
I was standing on my front porch when the object caught my eye, because it was so bright and moving in and under the black cloud. I did not know what it was, but I thought it very curious to see something like this in and under the black cloud.
All of a sudden the yellow gold orb just did not appear again, as if it knew I was watching it, or had some other place to be. It almost appeared to be playing in the clouds. Info first published on www.mufon.com

2009-11-28 2009-11-06 Three red lights in a triangular formation, passing almost overhead FL, US

Witness report;
Around 5:45p on Friday Nov 6th, my husband & I were leaving work to head home. As we were about to get into our vehicle, I had had the notion to quadruple-check the back doors (my husband & I have OCD when it comes to locking doors, which is a good habit!). While my husband was loading himself & our dog into our vehicle, I jogged to the back of the building. After everything checked out OK, I jogged back to the front side of the building & stopped dead in my tracks when I noticed 3 red lights. At first I thought, "what a weird plane", but as my brain slowly processed what I was seeing, I noticed this was no plane at all. This object did not make the slightest sound. As I looked at the 3 red lights, I noticed the shape of an equilateral triangle. The bottom 2 lights would stobe together & the top light would stobe at the same rate but at a slightly different time. The lights would always be on but flash at different times, almost as if they were dimming lights? As I was fixated on this object, I noticed the top light was moving down & to the left while the 2 bottom lights stayed at the same fixed distance. Finally my brain kicked into motion & I ran as fast as I could to get my husband. He then ran to the back with me and was astounded by what we saw. There were no lights other than the 3 red lights. Whatever unseen hard object that was bordered by the lights seemed to be rotating slowly, as if the "foward" point were moving counterclockise from west to north. After it completed this 90 degree rotation, it began to slowly and silently move to the north horizon. It was hard to gauge the overall size of the object. We would guess that it was approx 300 ft wide. The size was very hard to guage especially because of the unknown altitude and lack of comparable structures.. If it was as low as we thought, it should have made SOME kind of sound. If was a "plane" at such a high altitutde that it wouldn't make any sound then the craft would have to be thousands of feet wide. We watched the triangle for no more than a minute and proceeded to get in the car and attempt to follow it as it headed north. Thanks to our towns pointless infrastructure, we we stopped at a red light for way too long and by the time we were able to follow the direction of what we saw, we had lost sight of the craft. We live & work in the flight paths of a regional airport & we are surrounded by miltary bases in almost every cardinal direction. We are extremely familiar with civilian, commercial, and military planes, and are certain this did not belong to any above categories. If this was a secret aircraft, it flew very conspicuously over a high-density population area, with 3 attention getting wierd red strobes. We had even considered if it was 3 separate aircraft, but the precision and uniformity of distance, movement, and complete silence eliminated that as a possibility. We were very excited and somewhat nervous seeing this so close up, but were ultimately disappointed in missing closer details, like what the stucture looked like or where it was going.

2009-11-28 2005-03-00 Video footage taken while in a single engine airplane. IN, US ;

The witness reported the following;
While on a short flight over the city of Anderson and the surrounding area, we inadvertantly captured "something" on video. No one in the plane saw it at the time. Here is what happened. First of all, I am not a pilot, but I was at the controls at the time( front right seat). The pilot was to my left letting me do the flying, reason being I told him that I was thinking of getting my license, so he let me see what it was like. My oldest brother(now deceased) was sitting behind the pilot, and my son was sitting behind me. My brother was using my camera, not really looking thru the lens, but just kind of pointing it. After the flight, I went home and veiwed the tape with my wife and kids. In the tape, we were south of Anderson around interstate 69, when my brother pointed the camera out his window, and it happened kind of fast, but what you can see is a silver ball shaped object come up toward the plane from behind, then it would fall back out of frame. Then a few seconds later it came back in the shot for a few more seconds then it did what looked like a barrel roll down and to the left. I don't know what it was, but I would like for someone with a little more knowlegde to take a look at it. If anyone at MUFON is interested in taking a look, you can contact me at the Email address above. I do ask that I remain anonymous please.
Thank you.

Witness report;
Looking at reflection of other room, walked right in front of me, did not open door, maybe 2 feet tall, wearing a black cloak with some device on face. The reflection was from a Mitsubishi rear projection TV screen, there was an interview of a football announcer on and the side was yellowed-out with the very side, left, blank. It was very light in the room, and it was very clear and well defined. It seemed to be headed to my computer, but when I got up and looked it was either gone or I couldn't see it. I was doing my kids homework with him at the time. I take no drugs, prescriptions, don't drink, wasn't sleepy. I think it is a violation but have absolutely no recourse against something I can't identify. I think it fits the description of one of the little greys, but cloaked. Again, it seemed like a small kid's gait and was wearing a black cloak with something on the face. I felt nothing. It passed my field of vision in about 2-3 feet, in other words, I saw it walk about 2-3 feet. There was a window behind it-with the shades open. It was very clearly defined. The photo below is from '03, but gives a good idea of how easy it was to see. It was more normal than the sketch but I'm not gonna spend too much time on it.

Cornish UFO sighting

Ufo photographed in Cornwall 2008
(click on pic to view enlarged)
A Local snapped a strange shaped object which appeared to be 'buzzing' a Navy ship.

He said: "I was taking photos of the ship when a helicopter from it took off, flew west then landed back on board just a few minutes later. It was only when I blew up the photos on my computer that I realised what the helicopter had gone off to take a look at. It was in the exact same bay as the one featured in The Sun earlier this week."

American tourist Ian Mulford also believes he snapped a UFO at virtually the same spot. His report said:"I was taking photographs and did not see anything unusual at the time, but after reviewing the pictures I found something very unusual in the background of a picture of one of the family.

Another Eyewitness said ‘ It didn't look like any normal aircraft so I am sure it is a UFO ’

UFO - Asturias Spain 2009

This astonished Family in Asturias, Spain catch a rather large disc shaped UFO who's trajectory encircles their automobile as they film it. This video evidence is most convincing as far as authenticity is concerned in my opinion; The child is frightened and cries, the woman speaking is baffled and also panics as the craft circles the vehicle. "What was that?" she exclaims at the end, and demands that the car turn around ("Que era eso? - dale la vuelta"). The craft displays varied acceleration speeds whilst moving along it's trajectory, as well as shome pretty sharp direction changing. I estimate the craft to be approximately 50 feet in diameter.

Strange Events in Moscow's skies

ufo cloud ship moscow 2009

This Video clip shows footage of an Odd ring and disc formed cloud formation leaves local Muscovites baffled as to the cause of the matter. Were UFOs or Extraterrestrial intelligences behind this event? or is it just a freak of Nature?
An arguably UFO related event occured in Moscow when an an eerie hole in the clouds formed and a disc shaped cloud formed in the middle of the hole
Millions of locals witnessed an oddly bright ring-shaped cloud hovering above the city’s western quarter. Scientists from the Moscow’s weather forecast service said that there is nothing supernatural about it, and issued the following statement;

“It’s a purely optical effect, even if a spectacular one. You can see really strange things if you watch the clouds regularly,” Vesti24 TV channel, which published a mobile phone camera video sent to them by an eyewitness, cites the service. “Several air fronts have passed Moscow recently, including an inflow of cold air from Arctic, and they combined to produce such a phenomenon.”

Watch Video of the Moscow "cloudship" ring event.

I Personally think that this is some kind of GEOMANTIC Force being executed, which is becoming ever more frequent as we approach the zenith of the galactic equinox of the Solar System and the centre of the Galaxy in 2012. Although these clouds are obviously not intergalactic or interplanetary/interdimensional craft, they could perhaps, contain such. They could also be an effect resulting from the presence of orbs, ETs or other froms of non Earthly craft or beings/energies.
The HAARP issue also springs to mind when i watch this video
To be honest i have never been that moved by strange cloud formations until i began to take an interest in the Chem- and Con-trails matter. I do find this particular formation rather odd indeed, and must conclude that i believe this to be the effects of weather control apparatus being tested or applied to use for secret purposes.

Oh by the way.. the other wierd occurrence this month which is baffling me; is "how on Earth did Barack Obama get to recieve the Nobel Peace prize?"

Metal plates found in Crop Circle

Mysterious Plates of Grasdorf - Case History; 1991

The Grasdorf Plates are three plates which were found in a cropcircle in Grasdorf, Germany;
The plates were made out of bronze, silver and gold respectively, the bronze and silver plates are now in the hands of an industrialist. They were shown at his internationally UFO conference, "Dialogue with the Universe", in Dusseldorf, Germany in October, 1992 and used again when he filmed a piece on the Grasdorf case for the US-TV programme, "Encounters" in April, 1994. In addition, the Tugingen lawyer, Dr Roemer-Blum, arranged a scientific evaluation at the German Federal Institute for Material Research (Bundesanstalt fur Materialpufung) in Berlin.

Their conclusion, after carefully analyzing both plates was:

"Plate one (silver color) consisted mainly of quite pure silver (what an understatement!), with an additional ingredient accounting for less than 0.1%. The weight of the plate was 4.98kg (11lbs). Plate two (bronze color) consisted of a copper-tin alloy (of which the tin content amounted to 10%-15%), nickel and traces of iron amounting to less than 0.1%".

This meant that the silver plate consisted of 99.9% pure silver, purer than sterling-silver. Furthermore, a spectrographic analysis of both plates proved that they had not been made from a cast but from some kind of conglomerate of silver nuggets and natural copper and tin pieces of the type found in Germany’s Harz forest, not far from Grasdorf. They had been produced, either by heating up to a degree that partially melted the metals - or in a low-gravity environment. We are left with the question of what hoaxer would go to such expensive lengths, in terms of cost and effort, simply to pull the wool over the eyes of the press and a few crop circle enthusiasts?"

It is further mentioned of the gold plate, of the finest quality that had been seen by the examiner. The industrialist received about 25,000 Euros for the bronze and silver plate and the gold was worth at least 75,000 Euros

Above pic; the crop circle at Grasdorf, in which the three enclosed circles of the five circles, were the locations where the three plates were discovered by early-morning joggers on 23rd July 1991. The roughly 110yds (100m) long and 55 yds (50m) wide formation at Grasdorf near Hildesheim, Lower Saxony - it covered an area of 5,000m2 (6,000 sq yds)! - consisted of seven symbols and thirteen circles - with a cross within the circle in the middle, suggesting the ancient sun symbol. Dr Nowothnig, an archaeologist from Hannover, described the neighbourhood as "one of the most significant prehistoric cult areas of Europe"

Nazi Ufos

Did the Nazis Build UFOs as far back as WWII?

Nazi Ufos - a documentray by History Channel
This documentary deals with the presumed theory that the Nazis developed UFO technology during the second world war.
The term "Nazi UFO" is defined by Wikipedia as such;
refers to claims about advanced aircraft or spacecraft Nazi Germany supposedly developed during World War II. Some believe that Nazi scientists continued to develop these flying saucers in secret underground bunkers in the New Swabia region of Antarctica. References to such craft appear mostly in science fiction, conspiracy theory, and underground comic book sources.

Below Pic - Vril Craft - suspected invention of the Nazis

These stories are often associated with esoteric Nazism, an ideology that supposes the possibility of Nazi restoration by supernatural or paranormal means. Nazi UFO tales and myths conform largely to documented history on the following points:

  • Nazi Germany claimed the territory of New Swabia in Antarctica, sent an expedition there in 1938, and planned others.
  • Nazi Germany conducted research into advanced propulsion technology, including rocketry, Viktor Schauberger's turbine research, and the Arthur Sack A.S.6 experimental "flying disc".
  • Some UFO sightings during World War II, particularly those known as foo fighters, were thought to be enemy aircraft.

Early Claims of Nazi UFOs
The earliest non-fiction assertion of Nazi flying saucers appears to have been an article which appeared in the Italian newspaper Il Giornale d'Italia in early 1950. Written by Professor Giuseppe Belluzzo, an Italian scientist and a former Italian Minister of National Economy under the Mussolini regime, it claimed that "types of flying discs were designed and studied in Germany and Italy as early as 1942". Belluzzo also expressed the opinion that "some great power is launching discs to study them"
The same month, German engineer Rudolf Schriever gave an interview to German news magazine Der Spiegel in which he claimed that he had designed a craft powered by a circular plane of rotating turbine blades, 49 ft (15 m) in diameter. He said that the project had been developed by him and his team at BMW's Prague works until April 1945, when he fled Czechoslovakia. His designs for the disk and a model were stolen from his workshop in Bremerhaven-Lehe in 1948 and he was convinced that Czech agents had built his craft for "a foreign power"
You can see the SS Nazi symbol on the bottom of this UFO in the below pics - presumed to be a Vril craft

In 1953, when Avro Canada announced that it was developing the VZ-9-AV Avrocar, a circular jet aircraft with an estimated speed of 1,500 mph (2,400 km/h), German engineer Georg Klein claimed that such designs had been developed during the Third Reich. Klein identified two types of supposed German flying disks:

  • A non-rotating disk developed at Breslau by V-2 rocket engineer Richard Miethe, which was captured by the Soviets, while Miethe fled to the US via France, and ended up working for Avro.
  • A disk developed by Rudolf Schriever and Klaus Habermohl at Prague, which consisted of a ring of moving turbine blades around a fixed cockpit. Klein claimed that he had witnessed this craft's first manned flight on 14 February 1945, when it managed to climb to 12,400 m (41,000 ft) in 3 minutes and attained a speed of 2,200 km/h (1,400 mph) in level flight.

Aeronautical engineer Roy Fedden remarked that the only craft that could approach the capabilities attributed to flying saucers were those being designed by the Germans towards the end of the war. Fedden (who was also chief of the technical mission to Germany for the Ministry of Aircraft Production) stated in 1945:
"I have seen enough of their designs and production plans to realize that if they (the Germans) had managed to prolong the war some months longer, we would have been confronted with a set of entirely new and deadly developments in air warfare"
Fedden also added that the Germans were working on a number of very unusual aeronautical projects, though he did not elaborate upon his statement.
In 1959, Captain Edward J. Ruppelt, editor of the U.S.A.F.'s Project Blue Book wrote:
"When WWII ended, the Germans had several radical types of aircraft and guided missiles under development. The majority were in the most preliminary stages, but they were the only known craft that could even approach the performance of objects reported to UFO observers."

Triangular Ufo - UK, 2009

This is a pic of a triangular (and pretty futuristic and streamlined) UFO, taken in the Uk on December 9th 2008, but revealed and published in january 2009

Ufo pic taken in January 2009, in South Somercotes, UK

Thursday 4 pm Brian Lee, 55, was driving on Billings Gate road in South Somercotes at 4.30 pm on December 9 and stopped his car to take some pictures of a dramatic sunset on his mobile phone. It wasn't until he returned home and looked over the images that he discovered the strange object in one of them.

He said: "I looked at my phone and just saw this donut-shaped thing in the sky; I didn't know what to think it was."

Ufo spits out orbs

Ufo spits out orbs - 2 witnesses record a video of the event in Mexico.

(Left pic - the incident of orbs being released by ufo in Mexico, shot on 22nd May 2009 byPedro Hernandez)

One recording is made with the sun behind the camera, and the other taken from another location with the Sun in front of the Camera. What is amazing and convincing as proof of the authenticity of this sighting is that the movements and emissions of orbs in each sequance are in total synchronicity with each other! Proving that these objects were not models or cgi, rather authentic unidentified objects. The orbs also take on a perfect formation in their trajectories, one line of orbs travelling upwards, and the other down to earth.. Watch this amazing video evidence...

UFO Files - China's Roswell

Full Length video documentary on possible Alien Visitation in China

UFO Files
documentary about the incident where graves with large headed alien like beings in graves were found, along with ancient drawings on the cave walls of large headed short statured alien like beings. Is this China's Roswell?

Watch Documentary - China's Roswell

UFO Files: China's Roswell explores one of the most controversial aspects of ufology – the Dropa Stones. Yet again using the Roswell analogy, the programme attempts to link the two, very different stories because both contain crashed spacecraft, alien survivors and governmental cover-ups, albeit thousands of years apart (except for the government cover-up).

The story of the discovery of the Dropa Stones begins in 1938, when a Chinese professor of archaeology, Chi Pu Tei, sets off to explore a cave system in the mountains of Bayan-Kara-Ula, close to the China-Tibet border. The story goes that in these caves, Chi found rows of small skeletons with large heads. Nearby there were 716 stone discs, each with strange markings and spiral grooves. The stones were taken back to Beijing and were not seen again until the late 1950s.

Dr Tsum Um Nui found the discs and began examining them, finding that the markings were an unknown form of hieroglyphic writing. Somehow he deciphered the symbols and claimed they told of a race of aliens, known as the Dropa, which crash-landed on Earth 12,000 years previously. Obviously, the professor had trouble publishing his findings. He became so frustrated that he emigrated to Japan.

The first the outside world heard of the Dropa was in the early Sixties, when a Russian magazine called Sputnik released the story. Soon afterwards, a German publication, Vegetarian Universe, also ran the story. With the Chinese Cultural revolution of the early 1960s, travel to the country became difficult and the tale of the Dropa Stones was soon forgotten to many. The location of the caves in which they were found has also been lost
What was discovered by researchers was that there was an oral tradition from the Bayan-Kara-Ula region of ‘small people’ that crash-landed from the sky. The legends say that the Dropa came from the star, Sirius. This coincides with many other myths from around the world, such as the Egyptian Isis and the Dogon story of the Nommu.

Frequent Ufos over Capitol hill

This picture was the cause of public shock and furor in 1953 as ufos were fotographed over the whitehouse on capitol hill
1952 started with fewer than one ufo sighting per day in the first three months. In April and May, the flow increased to 3 per day, and this rate doubled in June. For the first half of the year, there had been 300 unexplained observations reports, 4 times the previous annual rate, and still the peak was not reached.

There were 3 nights of intense activity over Washington, D.C. On July 19/20, July 26/27 and August 2/3, the skies above the nation's capital were crowded with UFOs darting here and there, over the White House, over the Capitol Building, over the Pentagon.

They were seen from the ground, seen and also detected on radar from control towers at Washington National Airport, Bolling Air Force Base across the Potomac River, and from nearby Andrews Air Force Base. The radar operators conferred by telephone to ensure they were tracking the same targets. In many cases, airline pilots flying in the area were able to provide visual confirmation of radar tracking.

The appearance of unidentified objects flying with impunity over the heart of the American government and its military establishment was embarrassing to the Department of Defense, whose responsibility it was to protect the country from airborne intrusion. A flood of questions from reporters led the U.S. Air Force to call its biggest but also most embarrassed and confused press conference since World War II.

The conference was held in Room 3E-369 of the Pentagon, and was presided by Air Force Intelligence Chief, Major General John Samford. The main explanation given for the rash of sightings over Washington was something called a "temperature inversion," which is the immediate cause of a mirage, but usually on the ground. General Samford suggested that lights on the ground may have looked like they were in the air because an inversion can act like an "air lens" and bend light rays. He added that something similar could have "tricked" radar into thinking it was tracking aerial targets, which were actually ground objects. This was the first time that this ad hoc explanation was used, it became very useful as an explanation for numerous later cases, though no one in the larger scientific community had a clue about this phenomenon. It wasn't until 1969 that an Air Force scientific report made it clear that inversions strong enough to create the effects with which General Samford credited them, could not exist in the earth's atmosphere! Moreover, probably no radar/visual UFO report had ever been caused by a temperature inversion or mirage.

For the larger audience, there were two surprises. First, the pres was surprised to learn that UFOs were picked up on radar. Until then, this was never mentionned by the Air Force. Second, they were told it is all a natural phenomena, temperature inversion. From then on, the press, the larger scientifi community, the public, all accepted that radar UFOs are "temperature inversions." 50 years later, it is mostly still so.

(Of course, it happens that hot air layer are under cold air layers, but the thermal gradient necessary to creates anomaous propagation echoes that can be interpreted as solid flying object with anomalous performances is quite high. If one also expects that temperature inversion produce simultaneoulsy a visual mirage, the required gradient becomes impossible to reach except at ground level, as in mirages on a heated road. If the visual mirage is supposed to be luminous, then it requires a ship with lights at sea under a very important temperaure inversion layer. If all that flies in the air, tracked at the same location by several different radar systems located at different places, then ... it is not possible to get the required conditions. Even if it arrives very exceptionally that such inversions returns echoes vaguely definite of vehicles on the ground, one visually does not see them in the sky with naked eyes, obviously. In the cases of Washington 1952, the weather conditions did not at all allow such an explanation.)

The same day that General Samford held his press conference, the wheels began to turn at the Central Intelligence Agency. A memo from Ralph Clark, Acting Assistant Director for Scientific Intelligence to the Deputy Director for Intelligence, stated: "In the past several weeks, a number of radar and visual sightings of unidentified aerial objects have been reported. Although this office has maintained a continuing review of such reputed sightings during the past three years, a special study group has been formed to review this subject to date."

In 1952, few people other than radarmen knew what a temperature inversion layer could produce and what it could not produce. Among these few people was Major Donald E. Keyhoe, USMC ret., who explained it properly. But of course, only those willing to hear this, heard it.

See the official CIA report to get details on the CIA deep concerns about UFOs at that time: "...so long as a series of reports remains 'unexplainable' (interplanetary aspects and alien origin not being thoroughly excluded from consideration), caution requires that intelligence continue coverage of the subject."

Radar, which normally doesn't show something that isn't there, has picked up "flying saucers" near the nation's capital for the second time within a week.

Jet fighters pilots searched the skies without directly contacting anything during the six hours that four to 12 unidentified objects intermittently appeared on radar screens at Washington National Airport and nearby Andrews Air force Base.

One pilot said he saw four lights approximately 10 miles away and slightly above him. But they disappeared before he could overtake them, the Associated Press said. Later, the same pilot said, he saw "a steady white light" five miles away that vanished in about a minute.

As far as could be determined, this was the first time jets have been sent on the trails of such sky ghosts.

Officials carefully avoided mentioning "flying saucers," just as they did when radar picked up seven or eight unidentified objects near Washington last Monday. But the Air Force was expected to add the report to its long list of saucer sightings, which officials say are coming faster than at any time since the initial flurry in 1947.

UPSTATE NEW YORK had another report of the mysterious sky "things" again, too. It came from Nat Marsh, 27, Prospect.

UFO Lights In Washington D.C. on Live Broadcast on BBC

Marsh said that he and his wife and 13-year-old son, Wallace, were driving home from Binghampton at about 7 last night when his son called his attention to a silver disc in the sky.

The disc was moving southward at what he described as a "terrible speed." He says he and the members of his family watched it for several minutes before it disappeared. He was sure the object was not a plane.

"WE DON'T KNOW what they are, but we are investigating", an Air Force spokesman said of the Washington report.

"We have no evidence that they are flying saucers. Conversely, we have no concrete evidence that they are not flying saucers."

There was no agreement whether the recent reports are the first of such mystery objects appearing on radar. At least, officials agreed that they are unusual.

Radar normally does not register anything without substance - such as light. But it can pick up such things as a bird in flight or a cloud formation. And one expert said radar is not infallible.

The Air Force reported that between four and 12 unidentified objects appeared at 9:08 p.m. Saturday on the radar screen at the air route traffic center operated by the Civil Aeronautics Administration. Their position was estimated at 10 miles east of Mount Vernon, Va., which is near Washington National Airport.

Word went to the Air Force, which sent up two jet fighters interceptor planes from a base in Newcastle, Del., some 90 miles from Washington.

When the planes appeared on their radarscope at approximately 11:25 p.m., the CAA tried without success to guide the planes into contact with the mystery objects. It was during this search that the pilot made his two sightings of lights.

The planes left for their base at 1:40 a.m. and the two other jets took over and stayed in the sky until 2:20 a.m. without making contacts.

The pilot who sighted the lights said they "were really moving" - faster than 600 miles per hour. But radar operators at Andrews Air Force Base said they [...] at a "slow rate of speed" - - [...] miles per hour. This was much the same pattern as last week's sightings - slow moving objects with bursts of speed.

One woman in Washington reported she saw "a very bright light" streak across the sky towards Andrews Base at about 12:15 p.m. Later she said she saw an object with a tail like a comet whiz by and a few seconds later a third in another direction.

BLUE LIGHT AGAIN OVER ANDREWS AFB, 2002:

Strange happenings: Similar UFO sightings occur exactly 50 years apart

2002-10-17 By Barb Campagnola Athens NEWS Contributor

It was Sunday morning, July 28, 2002. The news came on the radio as I was chatting with a friend: a big ball of blue light had been spotted in the sky, but we didn't catch where. It was picked up on radar; fighter jets had been scrambled to the scene. The chase was witnessed by people on the ground. The light traveled at a phenomenal rate of speed and then Blip! - it vanished from the radar and from the skies.

My eyes grew big as saucers. "Did you just hear that?" I asked. I was amazed, having never heard such a thing reported on the news.

Though I have been a skeptic, I do know people who not only believe in UFOs, they say they have seen them. They also think that the government is keeping the truth from us. I couldn't imagine anyone trying to cover up such an important scientific discovery. And why would a ship travel this far just to "blip away"?

When I unfolded the story for myself, my thinking began to take a turn.

I watched and listened all day for the exciting updates. Nothing. I looked in the papers. Nothing. How could a big blue ball of blazing light traveling at phenomenal rates of speed be nothing?

Monday morning, I called my friend J.D. Hutchison, the unofficial UFOologist of Athens. He said he thought it was over Oregon somewhere on July 26 and would check into it. Meanwhile, I searched the Internet: blue light/UFO/July 26.

Apparently on July 26, UFO activity was observed over Andrews Air Force Base near Washington, D.C. Witnessed by credible, reliable Air Force pilots and engineers and recorded on radar, a fleet of seven solid-targets were seen hovering, cruising, surrounding and accelerating at phenomenal rates of speed. Then Blip! - they vanished from the radar and from the sky.

Interesting indeed, but I soon discovered that I was reading about the appearance of UFOs on July 26 -- of 1952!

It seems that to date, one of the largest waves of UFO sightings was recorded in July 1952, with an exceptional sighting on the 26th. The government, though it asserted nonchalance, took action. Project Blue Book was instituted in early August immediately after these sightings. It was intended to sort fact from science fiction about UFOs.

Project Blue Book was headquartered at Wright Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton. Apparently, there had been so much activity to investigate before and after July 26 that the tiny office was overwhelmed, inundated by the stacks of reports. Many of the original documents were moved to the National Archives in Washington when it closed in 1969.

Yes. Yes. This was all very interesting, I thought, as I scrolled down the page. But I wanted to find out about this big blue ball of light in 2002.

J.D. called me back.

"Babs," he said. "It was July 26, but not in Oregon. It was over Andrews Air Force Base."

My jaw dropped.

Andrews Air Force Base? THE Andrews Air Force Base? Exactly 50 years to the day later?

This blue light was beginning to sound very intelligent indeed. An anniversary appearance? How very attention-getting.

I made a few comparisons.

In a press conference on July 29, 1952, Maj. Gen. John Samford of the U.S. Air Force stated that the sightings were caused by temperature inversions. The public was easily convinced, and for many, that was that.

On July 27, 2002, in a telephone conference with UFO researcher Kenny Young, Major Snyder, command spokesperson for both NORAD and the U.S. Space Command, said, "NORAD is absolutely not concerned about this situation. We posture our forces according to the threat and at no time did this incident involve any threat to our country. It was an innocuous happening."

And that was that.

But is history repeating itself?

Released under the Freedom of Information Act, the once-classified transcripts from the tower that night tell a very different story. That night, no one thought it was temperature inversion, including the lieutenant in charge. The report read, "He (Lt. Holcomb) felt that the scope targets at that time were not the result of this inversion and so advised the command post with the suggestion that a second intercept flight be requested."

Statements taken from commercial national airline pilots in the same area on July 13, 1952 are also extraordinary. They say that they observed a blue-white ball of light hovering to the west.

According to the pilot, the object came up to 11,000 ft. and then maintained a parallel course on the same level, at the same speed, until he turned on all lights. The object then departed from the vicinity at an estimated 1,000 mph. The weather was excellent for observation. The crew said that the object "took off, up and away."

On July 14, 1952 Pan Am pilots in the same area reported six glowing lights or discs cruising beneath them. They remained until the pilots turned on the lights. The discs then flipped on their edge, rose up over their plane in formation and then disappeared one by one. Blip. Blip.

About 60 reports were made in July 1952 from credible witnesses. But how many went unreported? How many go unreported today for fear of scoffing? And while this documentation from commercial pilots is fascinating, volumes upon volumes more exist. To do the subject justice one would have to make it a lifelong pursuit. Many have.

Project Blue Book recorded some 12,618 sightings before closing operations in 1969. Of those, 718 remain unexplained. But according to the Air Force and their conclusions from Project Blue Book, UFOs have been proven to be neither a security threat nor extraterrestrial, so we do not need to investigate them any further. Case Closed. And this has become our official position to date. See nothing and say nothing.

So it's probably fair to say that given the penalties, like prison, for divulging classified information, we may never know the truth about July 26, 2002.

Was it a bird? Was it a plane? Or was it... a temperature inversion.

NUFORC;

National UFO Reporting Center Case Brief
July 26, 2002 - Washington, DC

NUFORC Home Page

On the morning of Friday, July 26, 2002, the National UFO Reporting Center began receiving forwarded news reports of, and queries about, an incident that allegedly had occurred early that morning in the vicinities of Waldorf, MD, Andrews Air Force Base (Maryland), and the surrounding vicinity. The reports, released by FOX television, CNN, the Washington Post, and several local radio stations, described an incident in which local residents had been awakened at approximately 1:00 a.m. on that morning by fighter aircraft taking off from nearby Andrews AFB, and which then passed overhead several times at possibly low altitude, perhaps with the afterburners engaged. Many people went outside to see what the matter was, and reportedly were witness to an apparent pursuit by the fighter aircraft of a brightly lighted object, which was seen maneuvering ahead of the jets, and which suddenly accelerated and pulled away from the pursuing aircraft quite suddenly.

Spokesman for both NORAD and the D.C. Air National Guard later admitted that a "scramble" had occurred in response to a radar intercept of an unidentified target, but they appeared to downplay the significance of the event.

NUFORC received a number of reports from eyewitnesses and interested parties, which can be read in our July Sighting Reports.

We express our gratitude to Joan Woodward and the Fund for UFO Research for conducting the investigation, and for sharing her report below. Several UFO investigators on the east coast have investigated the incident by speaking with the military spokesmen and with several witnesses on the ground. Many other individuals and investigators, not named here, were instrumental in spreading early word about the incident, and in arranging to have the investigation initiated.

One additional item we would like to call to the readers' attention is that our sources indicate that Washington, D.C., is still under continuous, 24-hour surveillance by AWACS aircraft. If this assertion is correct, the military almost certainly observed the entire incident in exquisite detail. Whereas in past cases, authorities revealed the details about an intrusion in the closed airspace around Washington, D.C., in this instance, they did not release the same detailed information, and they attempted to diminish the significance of the "scramble" of fighter aircraft. This fact seems unusual to us, and suggests that there was something unusual about the object detected, and/or the subsequent pursuit by fighter aircraft.

Joan Woodward, affiliated with the Fund for UFO Research, Mt. Rainier, MD, has compiled this preliminary statement of her findings. This report is also posted on the FUFOR website.

TEXT OF EDITED PRELIMINARY REPORT BY JOAN WOODWARD

Sighting of July 26, 2002, Waldorf/Andrews AFB area, MD.

GPS reading for Waldorf site: 38 degrees, 37'24"; 076 degrees, 55'46" Time of sighting was between 1-2 am EDT.

Witness: Renny Rogers, Waldorf MD. Renny is a Government employee and lives with his wife and 2 collies in a townhouse development in Waldorf. He has always lived near Andrews AFB and is very familiar with aircraft that fly in and out. His current townhouse is under a flight path for Andrews, and he states that he has never seen the kind of activity before in his life that occurred in the early morning of July 26. His time and spatial estimates are unusually accurate. He has a good eye for spotting aircraft. Although he has a strong interest in the UFO field, this is his first sighting. After the sighting was over, he reported it to WTOP radio, in Washington, D.C., and the the FUND. He has extremely strong feelings about pursuing to a final answer the riddle of what he saw and what the military know about it.

Weather conditions: Few scattered clouds at 3500' with an overcast at 5500-6000'. Temperature at Reagan-National Airport, 15 miles NW of Waldorf, was 70 degrees; relative humidity-76%; wind was 5-6 mph from the ESE. {Humidity numbers look a little high, so they need to be checked after corrected data is out.} Visibility was 10 statute miles.

Sequence of events:

1. Witness heard aircraft taking off from Andrews AFB.
2. Jet aircraft rattles his house, afterburner on.
3. Witness sights a blue light being pursued to a flighter

1. Aircraft take off from Andrews AFB--Rogers heard planes take off from Andrews (estimates the time as 1:30-2 am but he is not sure of this), and he estimates that in 5-7-10 minutes* they were in his immediate area. After take off, there may have been a very short period with no aircraft noise, but aircraft sounds got louder and louder and sounded as though the jets were circling in his area and not leaving. The noise made him think there were multiple jets in the area. He felt there were more than 2.

2. The aircraft noise level brings Rogers outdoors--The noise was rattling the house and was so great that Rogers went outdoors, turning to his right and walking a few steps so he could get away from trees and see the sky. He saw a military fighter flying directly away from him going SSE about 35-45 degrees above the horizon. He was looking directly at the tail end of the aircraft, and its afterburner (orange-white plume of fire) was on and remained on for 2-3 seconds before reducing to a residual short plume for the remainder of the viewing time. No sonic boom was heard. The fighter was in level flight at an estimated altitude of 3000' (broken clouds at 3500' from weather report) and was in view for about 11 seconds. Rogers goes back indoors.

3. Sighting--For approximately 3-5 minutes it was quiet with no jet noise or distant jet noise. Then the noise level increased again to near the previous levels. Rogers goes back outside to see what was happening. He goes out the door to the right(south), and sees nothing this time, though he hears loud jet noise. The he goes to the left of his front door(north). At this point he sees a pale bluish light moving at a phenomenal rate of speed. His sense is that the light is moving in an effortless almost floating manner but at high speed, but not at meteoric speed. When first seen, the light was estimated to be 35 degrees above the horizon in the NE sky above the treeline. When first seen, its path dipped and came back up like a small dip in a roller coaster and it flew straight line to about 85 degrees from the horizon in the ESE sky, where it was obscured by a mature deciduous treeline about 30' from Rogers. The estimated time from first sight to treeline interference was 3-4 seconds. Speed was constant, straightline, and there was no sound associated with the light. At this point, no aircraft was in view, and although jet noise could be heard, it was not in the immediate vicinity.

Rogers ran to the south and picked up the light again at about 45 degrees from the horizon in the southwest sky and moving away from him. About 3 seconds after finding the light again, a military aircraft flew over his house, which was behind Rogers, coming from the north and straight-lining after the blue light. Light and aircraft are now on the same path going southwest. Rogers was moving out into the street to keep them in view as long as possible. The aircraft was in sight about 22 seconds before it could no longer be seen. The blue light was in sight for about 5-6 seconds before it could no longer be seen (the aircraft could be seen much longer because it was so much bigger than the light). Rogers did not know when the aircraft began its pursuit of the light, but when it appeared over his house, he is sure it was then in pursuit of the light but that it had no chance of catching it as the blue light was much faster than the pursuing jet. The aircraft used no afterburner and followed the blue light's path until they both disappeared in the SW sky. Rogers estimates they were between 1000-2000' apart . {This may be the most iffy estimate because of viewing angles-JW}

As the aircraft pursued the light in level straightline flight, it was tipping its wings from side-to-side constantly, at least 4 times to each side. In the partly cloudy sky, the blue light was sometimes briefly obscured or partly obscured by clouds. Because the fighter was so much larger than the light, visual was not lost when broken clouds were between it and the witness.

Description of the light: A constant pale blue in color and starlike, about 2 or 3 times the size of the red wing tip lights of the jet pursuing it. He could see no hard edge to where the light, any more than a hard edge could be seen on a airliner beacon light or radio tower light. The entire light flickered from: light-to-faded-to-light on a cycle of about 1.5 seconds throughout the time it was visible. The brightness of the light was unchanging. He compared the flicker to a high flying airplane beacon light but with different timing. Rogers compared the quality (not the behavior) of the light to "blue" (rather than green) glow sticks held aloft by a helium balloon.

*All times were estimated by re-enactment against a stopwatch.

Investigation to this point:

I interviewed Renny Rogers 3 times by phone, on the July 26, 27, and 29th, and did an in-person interview at his house on July 31.

NORAD

I spoke with Maj. Barry Venable on July 26. He said that two F-16's were scrambled from Andrews about 1 am to investigate "suspicious air activity over D.C." They found nothing and returned to Andrews. I asked about the activity over Waldorf, and he said that was close enough to Andrews that they might well fly over the area on return, and it's possible they may have hotdogged to burn up some fuel. I asked if there was any mechanism whereby the F-16 could project a light ahead of itself. He said no, but at certain angles and in misty weather, an afterburner could appear blue. He had no information beyond "suspicious air activity" in terms of what initialed the scramble.

I again spoke with Maj. Venable on July 29, when he asked me to email him about what had occurred and what questions I had. But the only information that came forth was: "Two F-16 jets from Andrews Air Force Base were scrambled approximately 0100 hours 26 Jul 02 after radar detected an unknown aircraft. The unidentified aircraft's track subsequently faded from the radar. The F-16s investigated, found nothing out of the ordinary, and returned to base." For operational security reasons, other details would not be discussed.

Radar Tracks:

I contacted an acquaintance who is a top notch radar engineer for his thoughts on NORAD's radar comments, particularly asking if the fact that NORAD referred to radar detecting an unknown aircraft meant the target had a transponder. His comments follow:

l. Ground movers can often generate radar returns, as can wind blown rain, trees, birds, insect swarms-any thing with motion can create a Doppler return that might appear as slow low aircraft.

2. The term "aircraft" is probably not enough to infer that they had a transponder return.

3. Keep in mind that combat aviation annals are rich with examples of intercept controllers sending fighters in hot pursuit of nothing.

What were the F-16's doing?

Background information has been sent to FUND from Don Ledger (Zone Commander Civil Air Search & Rescue with 20 years of flying light aircraft up to 2 engine) and from Jim Canan, who got background from a former F-15 pilot, so I will not restate their comments here.

Final thought, is it possible that the F-16's have some sort of perhaps targeting or ranging finding equipment that can project a hologram-like image ahead of the aircraft? The thought keeps occurring to me.

Russian Kids snap UFO

Three Russian children; Veronica Prudnikova Lyuda Kurenkova, and Pasha Arbekov, have snapped an amazing authentic picture of a UFO in Ilyinke, Russia.
The three children were playing together in a field near the Russian village of Ilyinke on last August 7th. It was in the early evening. They suddenly noticed a UFO passing overhead. The UFO appeared very clear and large. The craft was of a classic flying saucer shape. The UFO shed a massive shadow over the field the children were playing in, which caused the two girls to start screaming out loud, which resulted in other villagers to come and see what was happening.
While this was happening, the UFO made a few circles of the village before moving over towards a nearby communications tower. As the UFO approached thelights on the tower dimmed, and went out. It seemed as if the UFO was causing interference with its electrical supply.

The children described the UFO as "glowing blue and red in color".
One of the girls was able to snap an amazingly good image of the craft. Other villagers, on hearing the girl’s screams, arushed outside and saw the UFO.
The UFO then rose higher, before ascending upwards brashly at an incredibly fast speed rate and then vanished. The sighting lasted less than one minute.
Experts interviewed the children, and have subsequently declared the photo and sighting genuine.

Manises Ufo incident

Manises Ufo ValenciaThe Manises UFO incident took place on 11 November 1979, forcing a commercial flight to make an emergency landing at the Manises' airport in Valencia, Spain
A TAE's (former airline) Supercaravelle was the first aircraft involved in the incident. Flight JK-297 had taken off from Salzburg (Austria) with 109 passengers on board, and had made a refuelling stop in Majorca before setting course towards Las Palmas.

Halfway through the flight, at about 23:00h, Pilot Francisco Javier Lerdo de Tejada and his crew noticed a set of red lights that were fast approaching the aircraft. These lights appeared to be on a collision course with the aircraft, alarming the crew. The captain requested information about the inexplicable lights, but neither the military radar of Torrejón de Ardoz (Madrid) nor the flight control center in Barcelona could provide any explanation for this phenomenon.

In order to avoid a possible collision, the captain changed altitude. However, the lights mirrored the new course and stayed about half a kilometer away from the plane. Since the object was violating all elementary safety rules and an evasive maneuver was deemed impossible by the crew, the captain decided on going off-course and made an emergency landing in Manises' airport. This was the first time in history in which a commercial flight was forced to make an emergency landing because of a UFO.

The flight crew reported the lights abandoning the pursuit just before the landing took place. However, three new UFO signals were detected by the radar, each one with an estimated diameter of 200 meters. The objects were seen by several witnesses. One of the UFOs passed very close to the airport runway, and emergency lights were lit by the land crew in case the object happened to be an unregistered flight experiencing difficulties.

Given the lack of answer to all communication attempts, a Mirage F-1 took off from the nearby airbase of Los Llanos (Albacete) to identify the phenomenon. The pilot, Spanish Air Force captain Fernando CƔmara, had to increase his speed to mach 1.4 just to be able to get visual contact with what he perceived to be a truncated cone shape displaying a changing bright color, but despite his initial efforts the object quickly disappeared from sight. The pilot was informed of a new radar echo, which indicated that another object might be near Sagunto (Valencia).

When the pilot was close enough, the object accelerated and disappeared again. This time, though, the UFO seemed to respond and the fighter had its avionics scrambled -its electronic flight systems were jammed, a highly hostile action. At last, and after a third contact attempt, the UFO finally disappeared, heading for Africa. After an hour and a half of pursuit, and due to fuel shortage, the pilot was forced to return to the base with no results.
The public impact of the incident was such that on September 1980 it reached the Spanish Parliament. The High Chamber representative Enrique MĆŗgica publicly asked for an official explanation, but a UFO sighting was dismissed and the incident was attributed to a series of freak optical illusions.

Listen to the Spanish TV news report (In Spanish)

The report has an excerpt of the pilots talking to the control tower.

The full official report, declassified by the Spanish Airforce on August 1994, states that the Supercaravelle JK-297 pilot Javier Lerdo de Tejada, the land crew in Manises' airport and the Air Force Captain Fernando CƔmara might had been misled by "flashes emitted from a distant chemical industry complex" (about 100 miles away from Manises) "and some stars and planets". Although this possibility has been much argued and repeatedly rejected by all people involved it stands as the only non-UFO-related explanation.

The on-flight difficulties experienced by the fighter were not mentioned in the public release. The electronic system failure on board the Mirage F-1 could nevertheless be explained by the fact that the U.S. Navy Sixth Fleet was stationed in the area, and was making use of a powerful electronic warfare equipment while awaiting the outcome of the Iran hostage crisis.

Since in the late seventies all UFO phenomenons were promptly published by mass media and readily consumed by the public, it has been argued that the flight crew might have been influenced into believing that they were experiencing a UFO sighting instead of just witnessing an optical phenomenon, and had therefore been readier to consider, and finally undertake, such an extreme maneuver as an emergency landing.

Welsh UFOs

A secret spy plane belonging to the USAF in the UK –which has never been officially declared to exist, is reputed to have been a possible cause of what might have been behind a sequence of reported UFO sightings in the South of Wales, Great Britain in 1993.
Some newly released evidential files point to this possibility. According to reports, a number in excess of 70 witnesses, some of them being police officers and even military personnel, have reported sightings in South Wales, and the English counties of Devon, Cornwall and Shropshire in the early hours of Wednesday March 31, 1993, witnesses described a large, low-flying object which made a low humming sound.
A briefing note given to the Assistant Chief of the Air Staff, Sir Anthony Bagnall, who was the head of the Ministry of Defence’s UFO desk at the time, stated that there seemed to be some evidence of an unidentified craft evading UK defences.

He said; " he would not normally concern Sir Anthony with UFO sightings but continued: “You may wish to be aware of a recent particularly unusual incidence of UFO sightings over the UK, involving descriptions that match some of the reported characterisations of the so-called ‘Aurora’.”

The Aurora was the name given to a secret project involving an unmanned US reconnaissance aircraft which was developed in the secret “Black Ops" in the 1980s and alleged to be capable of hypersonic flight and perhaps even unimaginable speeds and right angle turns.

The plane was the subject of intense interest, and the British Government denied having given permission to experimental US flights over the UK.

In a message from April the 22nd, the head of the UK's UFO desk wrote: “Some of the reports state that the object was moving at a very high speed, while some say that it was hovering or moving very slowly. Many of the reports refer to the object being very large, flying low and making a humming sound. My staff have spoken to a number of the military and police witnesses, many of whom commented that the object was unlike anything they had ever seen before”.

The statement continued: “In summary, there would seem to be some evidence on this occasion that an unidentified object (or objects) of unknown origin was operating over the UK. If there has been some activity of US origins which is known to a limited circle in MoD and is not being acknowledged it is difficult to investigate further.”

Sir Anthony reacted stating: “In spite of the quantity of the many witnesses who reported the unusual sightings on March 31, I can add nothing to the debate.”

The head of the UFO desk was later pressed to play down the subject.

He wrote a further briefing note on May 7 saying that he had been contacted by the British UFO Research Association (Bufora) which told him the sightings coincided with the re-entry of a Russian rocket into the Earth’s atmosphere, and that, although the re-entry could have explained some of these high altitude sightings, it was unable to explain many of the lower altitude sightings or the humming sound.

He added that; “As you will see, we may have an explanation for some – but certainly not all – of the recent UFO sightings.”
The letter was returned with an additional hand-written note which said: “Thank you. I suggest you now drop this subject.”

The sightings included one by two police officers in the small town of Treharris who reported having seen two bright lights, with some kind of vapour trail travelling at just 200m above their heads on Gelligaer Common at about 1am.

He apparently said; “Continuing questions of this nature cause us some concern and our secretary of state has been advised that I would be contacting the United States authorities in order to restate the MoD position and to seek confirmation that if any such unusual aircraft activity were to be envisaged by the United States Government which would in any way affect the United Kingdom, the United States Government would approach the Ministry of Defence to seek prior agreement.”

The sightings came from RAF Cosford, where police reported seeing two bright lights “flying at great velocity” above the area of the local airfield. There was no engine noise and a red glow from the rear of the lights, as they slowly faded over the horizon. According to a Met officer at RAF Shawbury the lights moved “erratically at hundreds of miles per hour unlike any aircraft” and that they appeared to be looking for something. The officer in question, who also heard a low humming sound emanating from the source of the lights, said he had never seen anything like it before.

Below are some other cases from Welsh UFO sightings;

Location of Sighting: Tredegar - South Wales
Date of Sighting: 23rd May 2009
Time: Around 22:24
Witness Name: Jordan Fox

Ufos attacked by Anti Aircraft guns

This case study is of a mass Ufo sighting in Los Angeles in 1942: on February 25, at 02:25 AM: anti air-raid Alarm sirens began to sound, as flying objects were seen in widespread. The reports of flying objects were announced to be flying in the skies over L.A...
A blackout was imposed and the terrified Civilian population were told to follow the blackout rules and switch all their lights off. At 03:16 AM: Anti-aircraft guns opened fire on the unidentified flying objects, which were seen to be coming from the direction of the ocean.

Projector beams scanned the sky. Eyewitnesses observed a series of small airborne objects, which were flying at a high altitude. The UFOs were of a red or silvery color, and were moving in close formation at a pretty high speed. The objects were unharmed by the Anti Aircraft cannons' repeated salvos . The larger object in the centre of the spotlights was reportedly hit by many Anti Aircraft gunshells. The anti-aircraft defence shot incessantly at these UFOs without any apparent results......

The Oldest Ufo Pics ever

Here are some of the Oldest pictures of Ufos on record - the first dating from 1870. Taken in Mt. Washington, New Hampshire, it has often been called "the oldest UFO photograph ever taken." This UFO picture was put up for auction on Ebay in the year 2002, the photo was sold at a price of 385.00 U.S. dollars , It was bought by Manuel Sherman the president of Independent-International Pictures Corp. In those days, it was incredibly difficult to alter and fake a photo, much less when one considers that with todays investigative technologies, sceptics have still been unable to prove it a fake! It is also incredible when we take into account the fact that there were no flying objects of Human invention in those times.....

Orbs touched by English crop circle hunter

Andrew Pyrka puts his hand into an Unidentified Orb shaped Flying Object and gets an electrical shock.
Barbury Castle, British Isles... Two Crop Circle investigators were underway checking out a recent corncircle appearance. The corncircle was reportedly formed like a bird in shape, and the two reporters were approaching to investigate, when the farmer who owned the land upon which the circle was found appeared and chased them off.

The two investigators, Paul Jones and Andrew Pyrka were about to drive off away from the site, when suddenly they noticed a shiny, orb shaped object hovering in the air in a field close to the site of the corncircle..

They considered the possibility that the orb may have some connection with the creation of the corn circle, and decided to investigate. They began filming the object, and Andrew started off to approach the orb. As he arrived in the vicinity of the orb, he was unable to see any trace of the orb anymore. Uncannily, Paul was still able to see it quite clearly, and since the two were maintaining a constant contact per cellphone, he guided Andrew towards where he saw the orb to be hovering.

As Andrew approached, he commented to Paul that he could see nothing, and Paul exclaimed in excitement that Andrew was standing what seemed to be right next to the orb directly beneath it. He told andrew to raise his arm to see if he could toouch it, which Andrew conceded. Andrew comments the following about what happened;

"Instantly, when I put my arm up, there was a huge jolt of electrical current that went down my raised arm. I don't think I touched anything solid," he told me, "but I definitely interacted with some kind of strong field the UFO must have been giving off. But why couldn't I see it where I was, while Paul could not only see it, he videotaped it for another fifteen minutes?"

A Physicist from the Netherlands had previously made experiments, investigations and conclusions that these orbs have some kind of electromagnetic charge and that the data he had recorded from taking samples in corn circles supported this theory. In recent times scientist have stated that some corn circles appear to have really been formed by orb shaped balls of energy.

UFOs over Whitehouse and Pentagon

This pic of UFOs over the Pentagon is till now unconfirmed, the remaining pics of Unidentified Flying Objects hovering over the Whitehouse in the night sky are generally belived to be authentic. This is due to the fact that a great many people witnessed the event.

The Pic below is of the 1952 incident where UFOs were seen by many witnesses over the Whitehouse

The Washington Flap

The 1952 Washington D.C. UFO incident, also known as the Washington flap or the Washington National Airport Sightings, was a series of unidentified flying object reports from July 13 to July 29, 1952, over Washington D.C. The most publicized sightings took place on consecutive weekends, July 19–20 and July 26–27.
Longtime ufologist Richard H. Hall, who served as the assistant director of NICAP and as the director of the Fund for UFO Research, writes:
"The summer 1952 UFO sighting wave was one of the largest of all time, and arguably the most significant of all time in terms of the credible reports and hardcore scientific data obtained." The incident has also resulted in a famous piece of UFO footage known as "The Washington Merry-Go-Round", which has seen wide circulation

At 11:40 p.m. on Saturday, July 19, 1952, Edward Nugent, an air-traffic controller at Washington National Airport, spotted seven objects on his radar. The objects were located 15 miles south-southwest of the city; no known aircraft were in the area and the objects were not following any established flight paths. Nugent's superior, Harry Barnes, a senior air-traffic controller at the airport, watched the objects on Nugent's radarscope. He later wrote:

"We knew immediately that a very strange situation existed . . . their movements were completely radical compared to those of ordinary aircraft" (Clark, p. 653).

Barnes had two controllers check Nugent's radar; they found that it was working normally. Barnes then called National Airport's other radar center; the controller there, Howard Cocklin, told Barnes that he also had the objects on his radarscope. Furthermore, Cocklin said that by looking out of the control tower window he could see one of the objects: "a bright orange light. I can't tell what's behind it" (Clark, 653).

At this point, other objects appeared in all sectors of the radarscope; when they moved over the White House and the United States Capitol, Barnes called Andrews Air Force Base, located 10 miles from National Airport. Although Andrews reported that they had no unusual objects on their radar, an airman soon called the base's control tower to report the sighting of a strange object. Airman William Brady, who was in the tower, then saw an "object which appeared to be like an orange ball of fire, trailing a tail . . . [it was] unlike anything I had ever seen before." As Brady tried to alert the other personnel in the tower, the strange object "took off at an unbelievable speed" and vanished in "a split second". He then observed a second, similar object, but it also disappeared before anyone else in the tower could see it (Clark, 654). At 12:30 a.m. on July 20, another person in the National Airport control tower reported seeing "an orange disk about 3,000 feet altitude". On one of the airport's runways, S.C. Pierman, a Capital Airlines pilot, was waiting in the cockpit of his DC-4 for permission to take off. After spotting what he believed to be a meteor, he was told that the control tower's radar had picked up unknown objects closing in on his position. Pierman observed six objects — "white, tailless, fast-moving lights" — over a 14-minute period (Clark, 655). Pierman was in radio contact with Barnes during his sighting, and Barnes later related that "each sighting coincided with a pip we could see near his plane. When he reported that the light streaked off at a high speed, it disappeared on our scope."

At Andrews AFB, meanwhile, the control tower personnel were tracking on radar what some thought to be unknown objects, but others suspected, and in one instance were able to prove, were simply stars and meteors. However, Staff Sgt. Charles Davenport observed an orange-red light to the south; the light "would appear to stand still, then make an abrupt change in direction and altitude . . . this happened several times" (Clark, 655). At one point both radar centers at National Airport and the radar at Andrews AFB were tracking an object hovering over a radio beacon. The object vanished in all three radar centers at the same time (Ruppelt, p. 160). At 3 a.m., shortly before two jet fighters from Newcastle AFB in Delaware arrived over Washington, all of the objects vanished from the radar at National Airport. However, when the jets ran low on fuel and left, the objects returned, which convinced Barnes that "the UFOs were monitoring radio traffic and behaving accordingly" (Clark, 656). The objects were last detected by radar at 5:30 a.m. Around sunrise, E.W. Chambers, a civilian radio engineer in Washington's suburbs, observed "five huge disks circling in a loose formation. They tilted upward and left on a steep ascent."

Publicity on the Matter and the reactions from the USAF

The sightings of July 19–20, 1952, made front-page headlines in newspapers around the nation. A typical example was the headline from the Cedar Rapids Gazette in Iowa. It read "SAUCERS SWARM OVER CAPITAL" in large black type (Michaels, p. 22). By coincidence, USAF Captain Edward J. Ruppelt, the supervisor of the Air Force's Project Blue Book investigation into the UFO mystery, was in Washington at the time. However, he did not learn about the sightings until Tuesday, July 22, when he read the headlines in a Washington-area newspaper. Allegedly, after talking with intelligence officers at The Pentagon about the sightings, Ruppelt spent several hours trying to obtain a staff car to investigate the sightings, but was refused as only generals and senior colonels could use staff cars. He was told that he could rent a taxicab with his own money; by this point Ruppelt was so frustrated that he left Washington and flew back to Blue Book's headquarters at Wright-Patterson AFB in Ohio (Ruppelt, 162). Ruppelt did speak with an Air Force radar specialist, Captain Roy James, who felt that unusual weather conditions could have caused the radar targets (Ruppelt, 163).

At 8:15 p.m. on Saturday, July 26, 1952, a pilot and stewardess on a National Airlines flight into Washington observed some strange objects above their plane. Within minutes, both radar centers at National Airport, and the radar at Andrews AFB, were tracking more unknown objects. The objects were traveling between 90 and 100 miles per hour. A master sergeant at Andrews visually observed the objects; he later said that "these lights did not have the characteristics of shooting stars. There was [sic] no trails . . . they traveled faster than any shooting star I have ever seen" (Clark, 658).

Meanwhile, Albert M. Chop, the press spokesman for Project Blue Book, arrived at National Airport and refused several reporters' requests to photograph the radar screens. He then joined the radar center personnel (Ruppelt, 164). By this time (9:30 p.m.) the radar center was picking up unknown objects in every sector. At times the objects traveled slowly; at other times they reversed direction and moved across the radarscope at speeds calculated at 7,000 mph. At 11:30 p.m., two jet fighters from Newcastle AFB in Delaware arrived over Washington. Capt. John McHugo, the flight leader, was vectored towards the radar pips but saw nothing, despite repeated attempts (Peebles, 76). However, his wingman, Lt. William Patterson, did see four white "glows" and chased them. Suddenly, the "glows" turned and surrounded his fighter. Patterson asked the control tower at National Airport what he should do; according to Chop, the tower's answer was "stunned silence". The four objects then sped away from Patterson's jet and disappeared (Clark, 659).

July 26–27

After midnight on July 27, Major Dewey Fournet, Project Blue Book's liaison at the Pentagon, and a Lt. Holcomb, an Air Force radar specialist, arrived at the radar center at National Airport. During the night, Lt. Holcomb received a call from the Washington National Weather Station. They told him that a slight temperature inversion was present over the city, but Holcomb felt that the inversion was not "nearly strong enough to explain the 'good and solid' returns" on the radarscopes (Peebles, 76). Fournet relayed that all those present in the radar room were convinced that the targets were most likely caused by solid metallic objects. There had been weather targets on the scope too, he said, but this was a common occurrence and the controllers "were paying no attention to them." (Ruppelt, 166) Two more jets from Newcastle AFB were scrambled during the night. One pilot saw nothing unusual; the other pilot moved towards a white light which "vanished" when he closed in. A Capital Airlines flight leaving Washington spotted "odd lights" which remained visible for about twelve minutes (Clark, 660). As on July 20, the sightings and unknown radar returns ended at sunrise.

The US Airforce's Explanation

The sightings of July 26–27 also made front-page headlines, and even led President Harry Truman to personally call Capt. Ruppelt and ask for an explanation of the sightings. Ruppelt, remembering the conversation he had with Capt. James, told the President that the sightings might have been caused by temperature inversion, in which a layer of warm, moist air covers a layer of cool, dry air closer to the ground. This condition can cause radar signals to bend and give false returns. However, Ruppelt had not yet interviewed any of the witnesses or conducted a formal investigation (Michaels, 22).

To answer the news media's questions about the sightings — and, hopefully, to slow down the numbers of UFO reports being sent to Blue Book, which were clogging normal intelligence channels — Air Force Major General John Samford held a well-attended press conference at the Pentagon on July 29, 1952. It was the largest Pentagon press conference since World War II (Peebles, 80). Samford was heavily influenced by Capt. James, who had discussed the sightings with him earlier in the day and who also spoke at the conference. Samford declared that the visual sightings over Washington could be explained as misidentified aerial phenomena (such as stars or meteors). Samford also stated that the radar-visual reports could be explained by temperature inversion, which was present in the air over Washington on both nights the radar returns were reported. The conference proved to be successful in "getting the press off our backs", Ruppelt later wrote (Ruppelt, 169).

Among the witnesses who supported Samford's explanation was the crew of a B-25 bomber, which had been flying over Washington during the sightings of July 26–27. The bomber was vectored several times by National Airport over unknown targets on the airport's radarscopes, yet the crew could see nothing unusual. Finally, as a crew member related, "The radar had a target [which] turned out to be the Wilson Lines steamboat trip to Mount Vernon . . . the radar was sure as hell picking up the steamboat" (Ruppelt, 170). Air Force Capt. Harold May was in the radar center at Andrews AFB during the sightings of July 19–20. Upon hearing that National Airport's radar had picked up an object heading in their direction, he stepped outside and saw "a light that was changing from red to orange to green to red again . . . at times it dipped suddenly and appeared to lose altitude." However, May eventually concluded that he was simply seeing a star that was distorted by the atmosphere (Clark, 655). At 3 a.m. on July 27, an Eastern Airlines flight over Washington was told that an unknown object was in its vicinity; the crew saw nothing unusual. When they were told that the object had moved directly behind their plane, they began a sharp turn to try and see the object,

The extremely high numbers of UFO reports in 1952 disturbed both the Air Force and the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA). Both groups felt that an enemy nation could deliberately flood the U.S. with false UFO reports, causing mass panic and allowing them to launch a sneak attack. On September 24, 1952, the CIA's Office of Scientific Intelligence (OSI) issued a memorandum to Walter B. Smith, the CIA's director. The memo stated that "the flying saucer situation . . . have national security implications . . . [in] the public concern with the phenomena . . . lies the potential for the touching-off of mass hysteria and panic" (Clark, 514). The result of this memorandum was the creation in January 1953 of the Robertson Panel. Physicist H.P. Robertson chaired the panel, which consisted of prominent scientists and which spent two days examining the "best" UFO cases collected by Project Blue Book. The panel dismissed nearly all of the UFO cases it examined as not representing anything unusual or threatening to national security. In the panel's controversial estimate, the Air Force and Project Blue Book needed to spend less time analyzing and studying UFO reports and more time publicly debunking them. The panel recommended that the Air Force and Project Blue Book should take steps to "strip the Unidentified Flying Objects of the special status they have been given and the aura of mystery they have unfortunately acquired" (Peebles, 102). Following the Panel's report, Project Blue Book would rarely publicize any UFO case that it had not labeled as "solved"; unsolved cases were rarely mentioned by the Air Force. but were told by the radar center that the object "disappeared" when the plane began to turn. Project Blue Book would eventually (after Ruppelt left the Air Force for a civilian job) label the Washington radar objects as "mirage effects caused by a double inversion", and the sightings as "meteors coupled with the normal excitement of witnesses" (Clark, 661). In later years, two prominent UFO skeptics, Dr. Donald Menzel, an astronomer at Harvard University, and Philip Klass, a senior editor for Aviation Week magazine, would also argue in favor of the temperature inversion/mirage hypothesis. (Peebles, 360)

Billy Meier Ufos

Below are various pictures taken by Billy Meier of UFOs. Purported to be Pleiadian ships by Billy. These fotos have been investigated repeatedly but still cause intense fervor in the UFO wolrd as to their authenticity, the case is still more or less unresolved. Some factions are completely convinced and others are sceptical.
The term Pleiadians was first used in the Billy Meier UFO contacts. During Billy's first contact with Semjase, she explained that she came from the Pleiades and from that moment forward, people all over the world called these beings Pleiadians.
